*remembering*

For Memorial Day we kept it pretty low key. My Mom went with me and the kids to the cemetery to visit Jeremy's grave. His headstone is not in yet, they just have the base there, but at least there is something to go to. And when it is in, it will be beautiful. He is so missed by so many people. After the kids climbed up on a few headstones and we had a little 'visit' there, we headed over to Salem.
Mom & Dad, Tate, Abush, Brit & Kids and me & kids all headed to Salem pond for a picnic and a little fishing. Tate had a couple of carp on the line, but they both broke loose-no one was able to get fish on shore! (no one wants to eat those carp anyway!) But it was nice to just spend time with the family in the beautiful weather.
The kids and I headed back over to the cemetery that evening to light a couple of candles again. We ran into a couple of Jeremy's good friends while we were there, which was great. It's just so nice to be able to spend a day remembering him and so many others who are on the other side waiting for us and watching over us. I'm thankful to know that if he can't be here, at least he is watching over us from there. Still, we miss him terribly.

Emily, I stumbled onto your blog and just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your husband, that must be so difficult. Your kids are beautiful though, and you look great too!
