PRESLEE TURNS {{ SIX }}

For Preslee's Birthday she wanted microphone cupcakes. She didn't know about anything else, but she wanted mic cupcakes. Ok. We can do that....but you know me! I have to have a THEME to go with it---so we had a rock show!! It was so much fun. We sprayed the girls' hair different colors, put on fake eyelashes and tattoos, blasted some good ol' Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift and pushed 'record' on the camcorder. The girls had so much fun rocking out and making music vidoes--which we then watched at the end of the party. They had cupcakes and ice cream and broke open a guitar pinata! What a great way to celebrate turning SIX!

On another note: I cannot, (i.e. CANNOT) believe that my baby girl is SIX [6] (VI). Can she really be this big? Well..I guess so! She's so much fun to have. I love her so stinkin' much! These 6 years have been the best of my life. Nothing compares to having her here! She brings light into every day for me! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCKER GIRL!! I love you the mostest, cinnamon toastest!

..future farmers....

We had the opportunity to go pick corn with Mom and Dad, Tate and Abush at their neighbor's house. (he planted corn for the whole ward-and Mom ordered 10 dozen, so we were able to partake too! YUM!) My kids absolutely loved it! They helped me shuck all of it the next day (about 4 dozen!) and we blanched, cut, and bagged it all together. It was a fun family activity! And it really made me want to try this gardening stuff more often...Fresh food, straight from the ground..doesn't get much better then that!

Kindy-Garten!!

How can this be? How can my baby girl be big enough to be going to Kindergarten? I can't stand it!! She has been *so* ready to go, though, and was so excited for the first day! I think she woke up about hourly through the night asking "is it time to get up yet?". She picked her outfit the night before, and had her backpack sitting by the door, ready to go! Preslee has Mrs. Lyman at East Meadows Elementary and loves her so far! Mrs. Lyman just had a baby (a week into the school year) though! So Pres will have a substitute for a while-which she's fine with. She loves recess with the kids, and one of our neighbors is in her class. The first day, I took her in, showed her where her cubby was, and she practically shoved me out the door! :) She was ready for her independence and wanted Mommy out the door. I am so proud of what a kind, smart, beautiful girl she is growing up to be....but *tears* for my baby getting big!

time for him to move back

Auntie Em is tired of missing you all the time!! Come home, Carson!

BEAR LAKE, BABY!

It's been a couple of years since we've gone up to Bear Lake..Cash was only 5 months old when we were up there last! Holy cow, how time flies. We love it up there though! So a couple of my girl friends and myself headed up for the weekend! We had so much fun laying in the sun, playing on a jet ski, and just relaxing around the campfire! It's so nice to get away from the rat-race!
After the girls were all headed home, I went and picked up my kids (who were lucky enough to stay at my Aunt Kris' house..her and Jordan took care of the kidlettes and they love going to Paradise to hang out with the Mairs! They always have so much fun with their family!!) and headed back up for a couple more days. The kids loved it!! We had a great time building sand castles, burying the kids in sand, renting a jet ski & paddle boat and just splashing around in the cold water!
